Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee to execute on behalf of
the County, Contract #27-781-2 with The East Bay Cardiology Medical Group, Inc., a
corporation, in an amount not to exceed $400,000, to provide professional cardiology
services for the Contra Costa Health Plan for the period from January 1, 2012 through
December 31, 2013.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Contra Costa Health Plan (Health Plan) member
premiums. Costs depend upon utilization. (No rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
The Health Plan has an obligation to provide certain specialized professional health care
services for its members under the terms of their Individual and Group Health Plan
membership contracts with the County. Under Contract #27-781-2, the Contractor will
provide professional cardiology services to Contra Costa Health Plan members, through
December 31, 2013.
