HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02142012 - C.28RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Amendment Agreement #28-528-43 with the County of Alameda, effective March 1, 2011, to amend Agreement #28-528-42, to increase the amount payable to County by $29,477 from $1,593,990 to a new total of $1,623,467, with no change in the original term of the agreement from March 1, 2011 through February 29, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this amendment agreement will result in an increase of $29,477 in funding from the County of Alameda, as the Grantee of federal funds under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Treatment Modernization Act of 2006, Part A, for coordination of essential services to Contra Costa County residents with HIV Disease and their families. No County match is required. On June 21, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #28-528-42 with the County of Alameda, as the fiscal agent and grantee for the Ryan White CARE Act, Title I and Minority AIDS Initiative funds, for coordination of services to Contra Costa residents with HIV disease and their families, for the period from March 1, 2011 through February 29, 2012. Approval of Amendment Agreement #28–528-43 will allow additional funding for services provided to County residents with HIV Disease and their families, through February 29, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County will not receive additional funds to provide coordination of essential services to Contra Costa County residents with HIV Disease and their families.
