FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact. Costs are offset by the cancellation of one (1) Computer Mapping Services Manager position and one (1) Computer Aided Drafting Operator positions. Approval of this personnel request will assist the department in eliminating duplication of efforts between the previously separate departments in the Information and Technology division and will allow for a more effective and efficient transition between both departments. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this request is not approved, the Public Works Department will be unable to continue progress in the elimination of the duplication of efforts between the Public Works and General Services Information and Technology work responsibilities.
