HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11082011 - C.43RECOMMENDATION(S): DECLARE as surplus and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, to dispose of equipment no longer needed for public use as recommended by the Deputy General Services Director. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no fiscal impact associated with approval of recommended action. BACKGROUND: Section 1108-2.212 of the County Ordinance Code authorizes the Purchasing Agent to dispose of any personal property belonging to Contra Costa County and found by the Board of Supervisors not to be required for public use. The property for disposal is either obsolete, worn out, beyond economical repair, or damaged beyond repair. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: General Services would not be able to dispose of surplus equipment.
