HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02072012 - C.56RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-508-5 with Liam Keating, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective January 1, 2012, to amend Contract #26-508-3 (as amended by #26-508-4), to increase the payment limit by $45,000, from $1,065,000 to a new payment limit of $1,110,000 with no change in the original term of March 1, 2011 through February 28, 2014. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On March 15, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-508-3 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-508-4) with Liam Keating, M.D., for the period from March 1, 2011 through February 28, 2014, for the provision of otolaryngology services including clinic coverage, consultation, training, administration, on-call services and medical and/or surgical procedures. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring these medical services at Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers would experience longer wait times and possibly go untreated. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
