HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02072012 - C.50RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #25-045-15 with Rubicon Programs Incorporated, a non-profit corporation, effective October 1, 2011, to amend Contract #25-045-14, to increase the payment limit by $51,548, from $117,580 to a new payment limit of $169,128, with no change in the original term of July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract Amendment is funded 100% federally funded by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population by providing vocational rehabilitation, money management, and other homeless support services to County residents that are homeless and have a diagnosis of mental illness or a dual-diagnosis of mental illness and substance abuse. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #24-045-15 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, there will not be sufficient funds to cover the additional services provided during the term of this Contract for County’s HHISN homeless program services.
