HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 02072012 - C.41RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, or designee, on behalf of the Public Works Director, to EXECUTE a purchase order with Southern Counties Fuel in the amount of $900,000 for the purchase of unleaded and diesel fuel for the period February 1, 2012 through January 31, 2013. FISCAL IMPACT: $900,000; 100% Fleet Internal Services Fund (ISF). The Fleet ISF is funded by rated paid annually by departments using vehicles assigned to the Fleet ISF. BACKGROUND: General Services Fleet Management is responsible for the County fueling station on Waterbird Way. Fuel is purchased for the station by accepting daily bids from fuel distributors. There are currently four vendors providing the County with fuel. Local vendors interested in supplying fuel to the County may contact Fleet Management to obtain information on submitting daily bids.
