FISCAL IMPACT:
100% Enterprise Funds.
BACKGROUND:
Health Services Department uses the Hemotology Analyzers and Slide Maker/Stainer to

Subject:PURCHASE ORDER WITH BECKMAN COULTER
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Beckman Coulter, Inc. is a participating vendor in our “Novation” Group Purchasing
Alliance, allowing us to secure preferred pricing on all of these products.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this purchase order is not approved, CCRMC would have to continue to use the existing
LH750 and LH755 analyzers which were purchased in 2003 and 2006, and have increased
downtime due to their age. The new analyzers require less intervention by clinical
laboratory scientist.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
Not applicable.
