APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Conservation and Development Director, or designee, to
execute a contract amendment with Macias, Gini & O'Connell, increasing the payment limit
by $27,600 for a new total payment limit of $176,000, to provide continuing special
accounting services for the Redevelopment Agency without change to the contract
termination date.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Up to $27,600. 100% Redevelopment Agency funds; Budgeted.
BACKGROUND:
The Agency has an ongoing need of technical accounting assistance to maintain current and
accurate records for financial transactions involving Agency revenues, including property
tax increment, bond proceeds and other dedicated revenue. Additional services are required,
specifically, assisting the Agency with the dissolution of the Agency and implementation of
the Enforceable Obligations Payments Schedule and new Redevelopment Agency
accounting requirements. Approval

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
of this contract will enable the Agency to continue to ensure the accuracy of the complex
accounting procedures necessary for these and other financial transactions and to comply
with state reporting requirements.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
The Redevelopment Agency would not be able to access special accouting services
necessary to maintain records and meet accounting requirements required by statute.
