III. ACCEPT the recommendation to close referral #94 – Children's Treatment Center
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
BACKGROUND/REASONS FOR RECOMMENDATION(S):
Between January and December 2011, the Board of Supervisors referred three new items to
the Family and Human Services Committee (FHS) in addition to referrals carried forward
from the 2011 year. The FHS Committee heard twenty-five separate reports on twenty-one
different referrals.
Referral #94 - Children's Treatment Center, should be closed. The Committee has been
monitoring changes to the services and funding available at the Seneca run facility in
Concord since 2007. Due to changes at the State level in the AB3632 program which
transferred responsibility for the program to schools and a decline in bed days, the program
has now been closed.
