HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01102012 - C.132RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #74-419-1 with William E. Berlingieri, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an amount not to exceed $313,600 to provide professional outpatient psychiatric services to mentally ill adults in West County, for the period from January 1, 2012 through December 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment, offset by third-party billing. (Rate increase) BACKGROUND: For a number of years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental and Mental Health Specialists to provide specialized professional services, which are not otherwise available. On January 25, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74-419 with William E. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County’s clients will not have access to Contractor’s professional outpatient psychiatric services and will experience reduced overall levels of service.
