Subject:Novation Contract #74-398-1 with Asian Community Mental Health Board
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
the Board of Supervisors approved Novation Contract #74-398 with Asian Community
Mental Health Board, for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, which
included a six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2011, for the provision of
MHSA prevention and early intervention services.

Contract and allows the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2012.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, a new vendor will need to be selected and engaged leading
to delays and reduced levels of service in the MHSA-PEI program.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This MHSA-PEI program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community
outcomes: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing”; and “Communities that are Safe
and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes
include increases in social connectedness, communication skills, parenting skills, and
knowledge of the human service system in Contra Costa County.
