HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 01102012 - C.98RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-577-7 with All Health Services, Corporation, effective September 1, 2011, to amend Contract #26-577-4 (as amended by #26-577-5), to increase the payment limit by $147,339, from $1,810,000 to a new payment limit of $1,957,339, with no change in the original term of October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On October 13, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-577-4 (as amended by #26-577-5) with All Health Services, Corporation, for the period from October 1, 2009 through September 30, 2011, for the provision of temporary medical staffing services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, and the Detention Facilities, to include Registered Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, Physical and Occupational Therapist, and Psychiatric APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 01/10/2012 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Mary N. Temporary nursing services were both requested by County staff and provided by the Contractor in good faith. Due to higher than expected utilization, to cover staff workers compensation, vacations and sick leaves and assist with the EPIC Project, use of temporary nursing services exceeded the authorized limits. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #26-577-7 will allow the Contractor to provide additional services, through September 30, 2011. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, the Contractor will not be paid for additional temporary nursing services Contra Costa Health Centers and the Detention Facilities. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
