Subject:Novation Interagency Agreement #74-373-2 with Martinez Unified School District
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
of Supervisors approved Interagency Agreement #74–373-1 with Martinez Unified School
District, for the period from July 1, 2010 through June 30, 2011, which included a
six-month automatic extension through December 31, 2011, for the provision of MHSA
prevention and early intervention services.

under the prior Agreement and allows Agency to continue providing services through June

CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this agreement is not approved, Agency will not pay County for Mental Health Services
Act prevention and early intervention services.
CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT:
This MHSA-PEI program supports the following Board of Supervisors’ community
outcomes: “Families that are Safe, Stable, and Nurturing”; and “Communities that are Safe
and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families”. Expected program outcomes
include increases in social connectedness, communication skills, parenting skills, and
knowledge of the human service system in Contra Costa County.
