HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12132011 - C.37RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 21033 to add one (1) full-time Building Inspector II position (FAVD) (represented) at salary plan QS5 1721 ($5,872-$6,474) in the Department of Conservation and Development. FISCAL IMPACT: No fiscal impact to general fund. The cost associated with this additional position is approximately $120,000/year. Of this amount, approximately $25,000 is attributed to retirement costs. One hundred percent of the costs of this position will be offset by contract revenues and by building inspection fees. (100% Land Development Fund) BACKGROUND: The Department of Conservation and Development implemented several rounds of workforce reductions in order to align revenues and expenditures. The addition of a Building Inspector II is necessary to respond to the work level. The department will use the lay-off list to fill this vacancy. The costs of this new position will be offset by contract revenues from the City of San Pablo and building inspection fees.
