HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12132011 - C.77RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-604-5 with Michael Gynn, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective November 1, 2011, to amend Contract #26-604-4, to increase the payment limit by $230,000, from $800,000 to a new payment limit of $1,030,000, with no change in the original term of January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This amendment is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. No rate increase. BACKGROUND: On December 14, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-604-4 with Michael Gynn, M.D., for the period from January 1, 2011 through December 31, 2012, for the provision of general surgery services including consultation, training, on-call, medical and/or surgical procedures, and clinic coverage, for patients at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, patients requiring these medical services would have longer wait times and possibly go untreated at Contra Costa Regional Medical and Contra Costa Health Centers. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
