HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12062011 - C.35RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to accept, on behalf of the County, Grant Award #28-348 from the Rainbow Community Center, to pay the County an amount not to exceed $5,500 for the County’s Reducing Health Disparities Pride/LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender) Initiative, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: Approval of this Grant Award will provide funding in the amount of $5,500 through the Rainbow Community Center to support youth cultural competency training. No County match required. BACKGROUND: The Rainbow Community Center will act as the fiscal agent and award funds to the County for County’s Reducing Health Disparities Unit’s PRIDE/LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) Initiative.
