HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 12062011 - C.38RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Deputy General Services Director, or designee, to execute a contract with Periscope Holdings, Inc., in an amount not to exceed $393,605 to provide Procurement software and support services for the period October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2016. FISCAL IMPACT: This contract is funded through salary savings within the Purchasing Division budget, 100% General fund. BACKGROUND: The General Services Department, Purchasing Services Division is recommending award of a contract to Periscope Holdings for the purchase and implementation of BuySpeed Procurement software and support. BuySpeed provides tools to increase the efficiency of County personnel involved in purchasing and accounts payable. The system will eliminate the time-consuming process of paper requisitions, reduce operating costs, and allow for the better management of the County's expenditures. The BuySpeed system is estimated to save the County more than a million dollars per year once fully implemented.
