HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10042011 - C.27RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE Appropriation and Revenue Adjustment No. 5012 authorizing additional revenue in the amount of $191,880 from Reserve for Contingencies and appropriating it toward the funding of the Animal Services Heat Recovery Project at 4800 Imhoff Drive, Martinez for the Animal Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: The appropriation adjustments fund the Animal Services Heat Recovery Project from a 0% PGE loan of $167,992 and energy rebates totaling $23,888. BACKGROUND: The Animal Services Facility needs to cool or heat air 7 days a week year round to keep animals and staff comfortable. The Animal Services Heat Recovery Project entails the installation of eight heat recovery systems in the roof top units resulting in reduced need for heating and conditioning. This project will reduce annual electricity costs and will save the County $16,906 a year in energy costs.
