APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services
Department to execute a Purchase Order to Hyland Software, Inc. in the amount not to
exceed $877,000 for software, hardware and annual maintenance of the OnBase scanning
and archiving system in the Health Services Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Purchase is fully paid for from (a) the Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records
(EHR) Incentive Program of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA) and (b)
the Delivery System Reform and Incentive Pool (DSRIP) funding.
BACKGROUND:
The Health Services Department is an existing customer of Hyland Software, Inc. and has
been using the OnBase scanning and archiving system for several years. This request is for
the additional software licenses, services, and maintenance needed to expand the use of
OnBase with the Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
