HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 11082011 - C.05RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Public Works Director, or designee, to issue payment of $21,000 to the Rotary Club of Alamo, for CSA R-7A’s participation in the Stone Valley Road Freeway Off Ramp Beautification Project in the Alamo area. FISCAL IMPACT: This project is funded by 100% CSA R-7A funds. BACKGROUND: The Stone Valley Road Freeway Off Ramp Beautification Project, located at the Stone Valley Road/Interstate 680 interchange in Alamo, is a community project sponsored by the Rotary Club of Alamo. The plan, developed by a local landscape architect, includes the installation of native plantings and trees. At their October 4, 2011 meeting, the Alamo Municipal Advisory Council recommended the District 2 Supervisor that CSA R-7A participate in this project by contributing $21,000 to the project installation. This project is being coordinated through the Caltrans Adopt-A-Highway Program.
