HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 10042011 - C.30RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20503 to establish the class of Legal Clerk I (J9VB) (represented), and allocate it on the Salary Schedule at 3RX 1032 ($2963- $3784); and the class of Legal Clerk II (J9TA) (represented) and allocate it on the Salary Schedule at 3RX 1155 ($3347-$4274). FISCAL IMPACT: Cost neutral. The proposed salary for Legal Clerk I will be equivalent to that of Clerk-Senior Level and the proposed salary for Legal Clerk II will be equivalent to that of Clerk-Specialist Level. BACKGROUND: The proposed Legal Clerk I & II classifications will be responsible for a wide variety of duties associated with the legal process and related clerical work within the Offices of the District Attorney, Public Defender, and County Counsel. These duties are a more specialized function than those typically performed by employees within the Clerical Deep Class series. The minimum qualifications for the proposed classifications include provisions for experience in a legal office setting and/or a Paralegal certificate.
