HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09272011 - SD.1 SD.1 Board of Supervisors Contra Costa County Date: September 27, 2011 Public Comment The following people spoke: John Hagen, resident of San Pablo; Jeremy Madsen, Greenbelt Alliance; Ron Brown, Save Mount Diablo; Mack Casterman, California Native Plants Society; Phil O'Loane, resident of San Ramon; addressed the Board on the removal of trees and unexpected ground placement of solar panels at the New Farm site by the contractor Main Street Power; and Beverly Lane. The Board noted that at the time of approval the expectation was that all panels would be mounted on buildings and did not anticipate any impact on landscaping. Work on the site has been stopped. The General Services Director will provide a status report of all solar projects in the County for the Board's review on the Short Discussion calendar of the October 4, 2011 meeting; Main Street Power, Inc. will be contacted immediately. David Frye, Captain U.S. Navy Retired, spoke in favor of protecting the beavers residing in Martinez, the transfer of control of pipelines from PG&E to governmental agencies, and his application as a candidate for the United States presidency as a member of the Independent party.
