ATTESTED: September 27, 2011 David Twa, BY:June McHuen , Deputy RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #23–478–1 with Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc., a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $840,000, to provide consultation and technical assistance with regard to the Department’s Information Systems, for the period from September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (Rate increase) BACKGROUND: In November 2010, the County Administrator approved, and the Purchasing Services Manager executed Contract #23–478 with Santa Rosa Consulting, Inc., for the period from September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2011, for the provision of professional consulting, technical support, training, and project management to the Department’s Information Systems unit with regard to County’s computer systems. BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Approval of Contract #23–478–1 will allow Contractor to continue providing services through August 31, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County will not obtain Contractor’s specialized expertise in dealing with Information Systems at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Health Centers.
