ATTESTED: September 27, 2011 David Twa, BY:June McHuen , Deputy RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a change order to Purchase Order # f12482 with Beckman Coulter covering the period from December 1, 2005 through November 30, 2011 to add $900,000 for reagents and supplies for the DXC 800 Chemistry Analyzer. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% Enterprise Fund I. BACKGROUND: Health Services Department uses their DXC 800 Chemistry Analyzers to perform various chemistry tests for patients. reagents and supplies are required. During the six year term of this agreement, the actual number of tests performed, exceeded the minimum number of tests originally expected. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, patients might not get essential tests, which could put their health at risk. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
