ATTESTED: September 27, 2011 David Twa, BY:June McHuen , Deputy RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the General Services Department, to execute a purchase order amendment with Atco Towing, to increase the payment limit by $15,000 to a new payment limit of $220,000 for vehicle towing, and extend the term for six months through March 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: FY 2011-12 Fleet ISF Budget. BACKGROUND: Fleet Maintenance maintains all of the county's vehicles. Vehicle towing is an integral part in getting damaged or broken units from one point to another. As bid on Bidsync #0809-002, Atco Towing has been awarded as the county's primary towing vendor. This change order request is the third of four possible one year extensions allowed. The term of the current purchase order number 26464 is for the period from October 1, 2008 thru September 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this agreement is not approved, then towing vehicles at bid pricing will discontinue. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
