HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09272011 - C.18RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20959 to add one (1) Substance Abuse Counselor - Project (VHV3) (represented) position at salary level QT5 1436 ($4,428 - $5,382) and cancel one (1) Substance Abuse Counselor (VHVC) (represented) position #7256 at salary level QT5 1436 ($4,428-$5,382) in the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: There is no cost associated with this action. BACKGROUND: With the recent passing of the Strategic Re-Entry Plan for Parolee's, the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) division would like to be able to assign a Substance Abuse Counselor position to the drug courts. Until funding for this becomes permanent and stable a project position is warranted. This position will be responsible for assisting the re-entry population in accessing AOD services. This will include assessing clients and determining needs and eligibility for services as well as coordinating care with other county agencies.
