HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09202011 - C.27RECOMMENDATION(S): ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20988 to cancel one (1) Board of Supervisors Assistant – General Secretary (J993) position #6266; increase the hours of one (1) Board of Supervisors Assistant – Specialist (J994) position #2481 from 22/40 to 32/40; and to increase the hours of one (1) Board of Supervisors Assistant – General Secretary (J993) position #2491 from 17/40 to 19/40 in the District II Board of Supervisors Office. FISCAL IMPACT: 100% General Fund. BACKGROUND: On July 26, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Map Proposal 17D Amended on a 3-2 vote as the proposed new supervisorial district boundaries. On August 9, 2011, the Board of Supervisors approved Ordinance No. 2011-15, establishing the proposed boundaries and set the effective date at September 9, 2011. As a result of the realignment, the Supervisor's staffing needs require adjustment. The new staffing hours will be effective September 9, 2011. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: The District II Office will not have the staffing allocation necessary to meet the needs of their constituents. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: No impact.
