Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Contract #74-336-3 with Martin P. Koeppel, MD, a self-employed
individual, in an amount not to exceed $168,000, to provide professional psychiatric
services, for the period from September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Mental Health Realignment Trust Fund. (Rate increase)
BACKGROUND:
For a number of years the County has contracted with Medical, Dental and Mental Health
Specialists to provide specialized professional services, which are not otherwise available in
its Hospital and Health Centers.
On September 21, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #74–336-2 with
Martin P. Koeppel, MD, for the period from September 1, 2010 through August 31, 2011,
for the provision of psychiatric services for the County’s Adult Mental Health Services in
West Contra Costa County.

August 31, 2012.

County’s Adult Mental Health Clinics.
