HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09132011 - C.150RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent , on behalf of the General Services Department, to execute a purchase order with Dapper Tire in the amount of $150,000 for Goodyear Tires for the period September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This cost is to be funded through Fleet Management's FY2011/12 Fleet Internal Services Fund budget. BACKGROUND: Fleet Management is responsible for vehicle maintenance on County vehicles. The County has standardized pricing on Goodyear tires for County vehicles. Goodyear tires are purchased through Goodyear dealers at government prices through the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) Contract. Dapper Tire in Hayward is the local Goodyear warehouse dealer with the ability to provide the quantity and delivery required. Tires are also purchased through East Bay Tire in Pittsburg.
