APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the General Services
Department, to execute a purchase order amendment with Access Hardware, to increase the
payment limit by $75,000 to a new payment limit of $375,000 for door and window parts
and assemblies, and extend the term for one year through August 31, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of door and window parts and assemblies is in the FY2011/12 Facilities
Maintenance budget.
BACKGROUND:
The Facilities Maintenance division is responsible for the maintenance of all County
buildings. Door frames, closures, hinges and latch bars are a part of the maintenance, and
these items were solicited on Bidsync No. 0707-002. This change order request is the third
of three possible one-year extensions allowed. The term of the current purchase order is
September 1, 2007 to August 31, 2011.
