APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Deputy General
Services Director, to execute a purchase change order with Dugmore & Duncan to increase
the payment limit by $50,000 to a new payment limit of $275,000 for Sargent Lock parts,
and extend the term for one year through July 31, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of Sargent Lock parts is in the FY2011-12 Facilities Maintenance Budget (100%
General fund).
BACKGROUND:
The Facilities Management division is responsible for the maintenance of all County
buildings. Sargent Locks are the standard of our countywide lock and key system.
Procurement of Sargent Lock parts was bid on Bidsync No. 0707-002. This change order
request is the third of three possible one-year extensions allowed. The term of the current
purchase order is from August 1, 2007 to July 31, 2011.
