APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the General Services
Department, to execute a change to existing purchase order No. 32889 with Ernie's
Plumbing to increasing the total Purchase Order limit by $95,000 to a new payment limit of
$190,000 for sublet callout plumbing repairs.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The cost of sublet plumbing repairs is in the FY2011/12 Facilities Maintenance Budget.
BACKGROUND:
Facilities Maintenance is responsible for maintenance of all County buildings including
plumbing repairs. These repairs are usually after hours emergency call-outs. Ernie's
Plumbing is located in Martinez, close to the main County buildings, and have become one
of the County's primary plumbing vendors. Ernie's Plumbing is a local SBE, and pricing
was established in Bid No. 1003-002. The term of the current Purchase Order is April 1,
2010 through March 31, 2012.
