HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09132011 - C.127RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #26-611-4 with Dennis McBride, M.D., a self-employed individual, effective August 1, 2011, to amend Contract #26-611-2, to increase the payment limit by $15,000, from $505,000 to a new payment limit of $520,000 with no change in the original term of September 1, 2009 through August 31, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increase) BACKGROUND: On September 22, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-611-2 with Dennis McBride, M.D., for the provision of primary care physician services for patients at the County’s Adult and Juvenile Detention Facility including, but not limited to, clinical coverage, consultation, training, medical and/or surgical procedures and on-call coverage, through August 31, 2011. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, Dr. McBride would not be able to be reimbursed for services provided at the County’s Adult and Juvenile Detention Facility.
