HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 09132011 - C.125RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract Amendment Agreement #23-363-12 with Taryk Rouchdy (dba International Effectiveness Center), a sole-proprietor, effective July 1, 2011, to amend Contract #23-363-10 (as amended by #23-363-11) to increase the payment limit by $200,000, from $300,000 to a new payment limit of $500,000, with no change in the original term of December 1, 2009 through November 30, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I. (No rate increases) BACKGROUND: On December 1, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #23-363-10 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #23-363-11) with Taryk Rouchdy (dba International Effectiveness Center) for the period from December 1, 2009 through November 30, 2011, for the provision of interpreting and translation services including Spanish, Vietnamese, Farsi, Laotian and other languages, APPROVE OTHER RECOMMENDATION OF CNTY ADMINISTRATOR RECOMMENDATION OF BOARD COMMITTEE Action of Board On: 09/13/2011 APPROVED AS RECOMMENDED OTHER Clerks Notes: VOTE OF SUPERVISORS AYE:John Gioia, District I Supervisor Gayle B. Approval of Contract Amendment Agreement #23-363-12 will allow the Contractor to provide additional translation services, through November 30, 2011. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this amendment is not approved, the County will not meet requirements under Title VI language access regulations and Limited English Proficient (LEP) patient/client needs for the County.
