Hargrave, M.D. BACKGROUND: On June 2, 2009, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-911-21 with Thomas B. Hargrave, M.D., to provide gastroenterology services including consultation, training, on-call coverage services and medical procedures at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from September 1, 2011 through August 31, 2014. In consideration of Contractor’s agreement to continue providing services, both parties have agreed to re-negotiate payment terms. This will allow the Contractor to continue to be paid at a fee for service rate instead of a monthly stipend. The Department and the Contractor have mutually agreed to renegotiate the Contract Payment Provisions to reflect the intent of the parties. Therefore, in accordance with Special Conditions, Paragraph 2. (Modification to Termination and Cancellation) of the Contract, the Department and Contractor have agreed to a mutual cancellation of Contract #26-911-21. Approval of Cancellation Agreement #26-911-22 will accomplish this termination. Under Contract #26-911-23, Contractor will provide professional gastroenterology services including consultation, training, on-call coverage and medical procedures, through August 31, 2014. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this Contract is not approved then the Contractor would continue to be paid at a monthly stipend instead of fee for services rate for gastroenterology services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: Not applicable.
