Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf
of the County, Standard Agreement (Amendment) #29-775-20 (State #05MHF009, A.11)
with the State of California, Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board, effective October 1,
2011, to amend Standard Agreement #29-775-9 (as amended by Amendment Agreements
#29-775-10 through #29-775-19), to increase the amount payable to County by $4,931,752
from $24,960,441, to a new total of $29,892,193, to make technical adjustments to the
agreement, and to extend the term through September 30, 2012.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Approval of this Standard (Amendment) Agreement will result in an increase of $4,931,752
from the State of California, Managed Risk Medical Risk Insurance Board for fiscal year
2011-2012 for the Healthy Families Program. No County funds are required.

On June 26, 2005, the Board of Supervisors approved Standard Agreement

BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
#29-775-9 (as amended by subsequent amendment agreements #29-775-10 through
#29-775-19), with the State of California, Managed Risk Medical Insurance Board for the
period from July 1, 2005 through September 30, 2011, for County’s participation in the
Healthy Families Program.
Approval of Standard (Amendment) Agreement #29-775-20, will allow County to continue
participation in the Healthy Families Program through September 30, 2012.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this contract is not approved, participants in the Healthy Families Program will not
receive services and the County will not receive funding.
