ADOPT Position Adjustment Resolution No. 20985 to reduce the hours of one (1) full-time
Library Specialist (3AVA) (represented) position No. 13370 to part-time (20/40) in the
Library.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Upon approval, this action will result in an annual cost savings of approximately $39,882.
This position is funded by revenue received from the City of San Ramon and the Contra
Costa Community College District.
BACKGROUND:
The Memorandum of Understanding with the City of San Ramon and the Contra Costa
Community College District for the operation and maintenance of the Dougherty Station
Library was amended on June 21, 2011 to reflect the schedule of costs and hours of
operation for FY 2011/12. The College District determined that, due to budget constraints, it
could only provide $100,000 toward personnel costs. The City of San Ramon agreed to
provide funding up to $15,264 to be used for personnel costs not provided by the College
District. It is required that the hours of the Library Specialist position be reduced from
