Subject:P300 #20974 Add and Cancel positions in the Health Services Department
BACKGROUND: (CONT'D)
Medical Center and its Health Centers.
The Psychiatric Technician positions have remained vacant since 2006 and temporary
Licensed Vocational Nurses' are currently being used in the clinics. It has been
determined that the Licensed Vocational Nurse classification more appropriately meets
the needs of the Department. Therefore, it is essential to add these positions in order to
maintain the quality of patient care services and to eliminate the on-going need for
temporary help.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this request is not approved, patient care services may be adversely impacted.
