FISCAL IMPACT: There is an annual cost of approximately $11,757.53, offset by Medi-Cal revenue. The Psychiatric Technician positions have remained vacant since 2006 and temporary Licensed Vocational Nurses' are currently being used in the clinics. It has been determined that the Licensed Vocational Nurse classification more appropriately meets the needs of the Department. Therefore, it is essential to add these positions in order to maintain the quality of patient care services and to eliminate the on-going need for temporary help.
