RESOLUTION N0. 86/752
SUBJECT: Approving Revised Plans and Specifications
for Remodeling and Addition at
50 Glacier Drive for DES and
Sheriff Communications
Martinez Area
Budget Line No. 4405-4200
Authorization No. 0928-WH2O0D
WHEREAS bids received on August 28, 1986 for Remodeling and Addition at 50
Glacier Drive for DES and Sheriff Communications were excessive and beyond
available funds and said bids were allowed to expire; and
WHEREAS the Director of General Services having reported this day that the
plans and specifications for Remodeling and Addition at 50 Glacier Drive for
DES and Sheriff Communications have been revised by the Architect, Group
4/Architecture, Research and Planning, Inc. , to reduce the scope and cost of
the project; and
WHEREAS said revised Plans and Specifications have been filed with the
Board this day by the Director of General Services; and
WHEREAS the cost estimate for the initial construction contract, based on
the revised plans and specifications, is $1,200,000; and
WHEREAS this Board has approved the general prevailing rates of wages,
which shall be the minimum rates paid on this project, except where the
Federal wage determination is higher, the Federal determination shall apply;
and
WHEREAS the Board hereby finds that the project is exempt from
Environmental Impact Report requirements as a Class la Categorical Exemption
under County Guidelines and directs the Director of General Services to file a
Notice of Exemption with the County Clerk; and
IT IS BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that said revised Plans and Specifications are
hereby APPROVED. Bids for this work will be received on January 29 , 198.7 at
2:00 p.m. , and the Clerk of this Board is directed to publish Notice to
Contractors in accordance with Section §20125 of the Public Contract Code,
inviting bids for said work, said Notice to be published in the Martinez
News Gazette
