HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08162011 - C.54RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #25–047–16 with Anka Behavioral Health, Incorporated, a non-profit corporation, in an amount not to exceed $230,641, to provide support services for Contra Costa County Health, Housing and Integrated Services Network (HHISN) clients, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is funded 41% by Federal McKinney-Vento Grant, 50% by Federal Substance Abuse/Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA), and 9% by Mental Health Services Act (MHSA). BACKGROUND: This Contract meets the social needs of County’s population in that it provides support services to County residents that are homeless and have a diagnosis of mental illness or a dual-diagnosis of mental illness and substance abuse. Approval of Contract #25–047–16 will allow the Contractor to continue providing services through June 30, 2012. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, County’s HHISN clients will not receive vocational, rental assistance, and other homeless support services from this contractor.
