HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08162011 - C.52RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Health Services Director, or his designee, to execute, on behalf of the County, Contract #26-590-9 with HCPro, Inc. (dba The Greeley Company), a corporation, in an amount not to exceed $375,000 to provide consultation services with regard to regulatory compliance on-site nursing management and data analysis at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from July 1, 2011 through June 30, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: This Contract is 100% by Enterprise Fund I. There are no increases in the daily rate or conversion fee in this Contract. BACKGROUND: On July 27, 2010, the Board of Supervisors approved Contract #26-590-7 (as amended by Amendment Agreement #26-590-8) with HCPro, Inc. (dba The Greeley Company) BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers including, but not limited to conducting an on-site assessment, touring, reviewing records, interviewing staff of the In-Patient Psychiatric Unit, Pharmacy, Food Services and other Units, providing suggested modifications to various policies and procedures and providing an on-site nurse management consultation. Approval of Contract #26-590-9 will allow the Contractor to continue to provide services, through June 30, 2012, including mutual indemnification to hold the other party harmless from any claims arising out of the performance of this Contract. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: If this contract is not approved, the County’s ability to meet regulatory compliance of the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services at Contra Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers will be impaired.
