HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08162011 - C.49RECOMMENDATION(S): Approve and authorize the Purchasing Agent, on behalf of the Health Services Department, to execute a Purchase Order with R-Computer in the amount not to exceed $773,720 for the purchase new Window 7 PC’s to support of EPIC Electronic Medical Records (EMR) installation for the Health Services Department. FISCAL IMPACT: Funding for this initiative is fully paid for from the Medicare & Medicaid Electronic Health Records (EHR) Incentive Program of the American Recovery & Reinvestment Act (ARRA). BACKGROUND: Health Services Department's Information Technology Unit supports approximately 4000 computers within the Department. Approximately 900 personal computers are running on Windows 2000 operating system which will not support EPIC EMR installation. These new Windows 7 pesonal computers will replace old computers running Windows 2000 in support of EPIC EMR installation.
