Against Domestic Violence to increase the payment limit by $57,965 to a new payment limit not to exceed $347,790 for domestic violence support services to California Work Opportunity and Responsibility to Kids (CalWORKS) participants, and extend the contract term from September 30, 2011 to December 31, 2011. FISCAL IMPACT: $347,790: 72% State, CalWORKs Single Allocation; 28% County, contribution from Zero Tolerance BACKGROUND: STAND! Against Domestic Violence BACKGROUND: (CONT'D) services tailored to meet the specific needs of the Workforce Services Bureau. Services include CalWORKs domestic violence liaisons at four Employment and Human Services Department (EHSD) offices, technical assistance, consultation, and domestic violence identification and skills training; on-site capacity building and linkages for domestic violence victims to community resources. This amendment is necessary to enable the completion of the competitive bid process for domestic violence services. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: There will be an interruption in domestic violence services while competitive bidding process is being completed. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: This contract supports all of the community outcomes established in the Children’s Report Card: 1) “Children Ready for and Succeeding in School”; 2) “Children and Youth Healthy and Preparing for Productive Adulthood”; 3) “Families that are Economically Self Sufficient”; 4) “Families that are Safe, Stable and Nurturing”; and 5) “Communities that are Safe and Provide a High Quality of Life for Children and Families.
