Approve and authorize the Health Services Director or his designee, to execute, on behalf of
the County, Contract #26-700 with Jaison James, M.D., a self-employed individual, in an
amount not to exceed $675,000, to provide professional orthopedic services at Contra Costa
Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers, for the period from August 1,
2011 through July 31, 2014.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This Contract is funded 100% by Enterprise Fund I.
BACKGROUND:
Under Contract #26-700, Jaison James, M.D., will provide orthopedic services at Contra
Costa Regional Medical Center and Contra Costa Health Centers including but not limited to
consultation, training, on-call coverage and medical/surgical procedures, for the period from
August 1, 2011 through July 31, 2014.
CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION:
If this Contract is not approved, patients requiring these medical services at Contra Costa
