HomeMy WebLinkAboutMINUTES - 08092011 - C.39RECOMMENDATION(S): APPROVE and AUTHORIZE the Purchasing Agent to execute, on behalf of the General Services Department a purchase order amendment with with Redwood Coast Petroleum, to increase the payment limit by $400,000 to a new payment limit of $495,000 for fuel, with no change in original term of April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012. FISCAL IMPACT: The cost of vehicle fuel is budgeted in the FY2011/12 Fleet ISF budget. BACKGROUND: Fleet Management maintains the County fueling site at Waterbird Way in Martinez. Materials Management conducts daily fuel bids to establish responsible low priced vendors to provide fuel for this site. Redwood Coast Petroleum has been tracked for over six months, and provided three fuel loads on their current purchase order. Their pricing has been competitive and has often been the least expensive among the vendors tracked. We are requesting an increase to their purchase order limit so that we can purchase their fuel when it is the least expensive. The term of the current purchase order is from April 1, 2011 through March 31, 2012.
