ATTESTED: August 9, 2011 David Twa, County Administrator and Clerk of the Board of Supervisors By: June McHuen, Deputy cc: Joanne Buenger, Fern Carroll, Ed Woo, John Huie, Tim Ewell C.27 To:Board of Supervisors From:Ed Woo, Chief Information Officer Date:August 9, 2011 Contra Costa County Subject:Amend contract with Robert Half for specialized programming services BACKGROUND: The Health Services Department is in need of specialized programming services to assist with the implementation of the Epic software system. These services require special training in Epic tools, which are beyond that of our current staff. Due to the temporary nature of this work and the special knowledge required to perform these duties, a contract firm is the optimal approach. Robert Half, Incorporated has a number of such trained staff available immediately to assist. CONSEQUENCE OF NEGATIVE ACTION: Failure to properly staff the implementation team using this contract could delay implementation of the Epic project, increase the cost and potentially put the project at risk. CHILDREN'S IMPACT STATEMENT: No impact.
