Adopted this Order on December 2 , 1986 by the following vote:
AYES: Supervisors Schroder, McPeak, Torlakson, Powers
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: Supervisor Fanden
SUBJECT: Land-Use-Permits in Heavy
Industrial Districts
The Board on November 4, 1986 continued to this date
the proposed ordinance requiring land-use-permits in heavy
industrial districts.
Supervisor Nancy Fanden advised that she would not
participate in the discussion or vote on the proposed ordinance
because of a possible conflict of interest.
The Chairman noted that several persons had requested
to speak on the ordinance and invited them to come forward.
The following persons spoke in support of the proposed
ordinance:
John Mathews, 5023 Clayton Road, Concord; and
Tom Adams, 1875 S. Grant, #600, San Mateo.
In commenting on the proposed ordinance, Board members
agreed that it should be transmitted to all the cities as a means
of notifying them of the action the Board has taken.
Therefore, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that the
ordinance is INTRODUCED, reading WAIVED and December 9, 1986 is
FIXED for adoption.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED that the County Administrator is
REQUESTED to transmit copies of the ordinance to all cities within
the County.
