TRAFFIC RESOLUTION NO. 3157
ABSTAIN: None Supervisorial District I & II
SUBJECT: Speed Limits on SAN PABLO DAM ROAD (Road No. 0961D)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES THAT:
On the basis of an engineering and traffic survey and recommendations
thereon by the County Public Works Department' s Traffic Engineering
Division and pursuant to the County Ordinance Code Chapter 46-2
(Sec. 46-2.002 ff.) , this Board hereby determines that the present speed
limit(s) established on the below-described road, a street within the
criteria of Vehicle Code Section 22358 is(are) more than reasonable and
safe, and hereby determines and declares that the following speed limit(s)
is(are) most appropriate, reasonable , and safe prima facie speed limit(s)
there:
Pursuant to Section 22358 of the California Vehicle
Code , no vehicle shall travel in excess of 25 miles
per hour on that portion of SAN PABLO DAM ROAD (Road
#09610) , E1 Sobrante , beginning at the east city
limits of San Pablo and extending easterly to a point
300 feet east of Milton Drive;
Thence no vehicle shall travel in excess of 35 miles
per hour on that portion of San Pablo Dam Road (Road
#0961D) , beginning at a point 300 feet east of Milton
Drive and extending easterly to a point 900 feet east
of Kay Ann Court;
Thence no vehicle shall travel in excess of 45 miles
per hour on that portion of San Pablo Dam Road (Road
#0961D), beginning at a point 900 feet east of Kay Ann
Court and extending easterly to the Richmond city
limits southerly of Tri Lane.
(Traffic Resolution #2155 pertaining to existing speed
limits on San Pablo Dam Road is hereby rescinded.)
