SUBJECT: Congratulations to Irene Robinson on the Occasion
of Her 100th Birthday
WHEREAS, Mrs . Irene Robinson was born December 25 , 1886 in
Lake Village, Arkansas to parents who were farmers and where she
lived until moving to Richmond , California in 1950; and
WHEREAS , Mrs . Robinson' s' daughter , Adelina, passed away in
1984 leaving one son, Ira J. White ; and
WHEREAS , Mrs . Robinson ' s other descendents include six great-
grandchildren and twelve great-great-grandhildren; and
WHEREAS , Mrs . Robinson is hale and hearty requiring only the
assistance of a cane to walk; and
WHEREAS , Mrs . Robinson is an active member of the Mt . Zion
Missionary Church, does her own grocery shopping and cooks her own
meals daily; and
WHEREAS , Mrs . Robinson has a delightful sense of humor which
she shares with all who come in contact with her;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors
of Contra Costa County that Mrs . Irene Robinson be congratulated on
the occasion of her 100th birthday on December 25 , 1986; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors wishes
Mrs. Irene Robinson continued good health and happiness for many
years to come .
